Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to your dream destination, we’ve most likely been there, and done that. Not only can we plan your dream vacation, we can make recommendations while keeping the local culture, weather and more in mind. We will be sure to tell you about our favorite restaurants, activities, sites, shopping locations and more!
Travel insurance is available and recommended to protect your travel investment. Many trips include accommodations, transportation, tours, and cruises that involve non-refundable funds paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment. Perhaps even more important is the ‘during travel’ coverage and assistance that comes with the insurance policies available.Trip interruption due to illness or unforeseen circumstances can be very expensive, and medical care abroad is often not covered by domestic insurance plans.
My First suggestion is, if your purchasing your travel with a Credit Card or Debit Card that carries the Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express logo to reach out to them first,as many times those purchases come with insurance automatically from your Credit Card issuer. If not there are several Insurance options available that can be purchased at the time your vacation is booked.
Government-issued identification is required for all air travel. A valid passport is required for all trips outside the USA. All passengers should check with the appropriate foreign consulate for entry and validity requirements. We recommend that your passport has six months validity, and at least 3 blank pages. Passports and visas are the responsibility of each client. Travelers should contact the appropriate consulate 3-6 months in advance for additional entry requirements for all international destinations. If travelling internationally with a child under the age of 18, please check directly with the airline for the legal documentation that is required. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to procure the proper documentation to travel and many requirements vary by airline and destination.
Travelers’ Checks are not common practice anymore so it is a good idea to travel with a credit card and ATM card, or a bank issued ‘Debit Card’ specifically for travel. Also consult with your bank on the foreign transaction fees and withdrawal fees that may be associated with use. Some have no fees while others have absorbent fees. Having a couple of options will assure that you are covered if one doesn’t work. In certain countries it comes down to potluck if you can withdraw money so make sure that you also arrive with some cash on hand to hold you over until you have settled in and found functional banking options in your destination. One day it’ll work, the next it won’t, but it will work for your friend… JUST YOUR LUCK! The amount of money needed in total while traveling will greatly differ depending on your destination and desires while on vacation that can be discussed in more detail during a consultation with your travel advisor.
