When it comes to your dream destination, we have most likely been there and done that. We plan the trip and make recommendations with the local culture and weather in mind, including our favorite restaurants, activities, sites and shopping.
We recommend it. Many trips include non-refundable accommodations, tours and cruises paid months in advance, and insurance protects that investment. It also covers you during travel, when illness or an interruption can be expensive and domestic plans often don’t apply abroad.
If you pay with a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express card, check with your issuer first, since many purchases include coverage automatically. Otherwise we can add a policy when you book.
A valid passport is required for all trips outside the USA. We recommend at least six months of validity and three blank pages. Check entry requirements with the destination’s consulate 3–6 months ahead, and confirm documentation with the airline when traveling with a child under 18.
Travelers’ checks are rarely used now. Bring a credit card plus an ATM or debit card for travel, and ask your bank about foreign transaction and withdrawal fees. Arrive with some local cash until you find reliable banking at your destination. We will talk through budgets during your consultation.
