Mexico is currently one of the few Countries open to tourist from the USA. For many it may be their first time south of the border and for others it could be a familiar and favorite vacation destination. For the first timers this Blog is for you! In a quick synopsis I’ll touch on the destinations mentioned and cover who and what type of traveler each city would appeal to. I will also touch on various excursions available and most importantly what to do to get your Life on the world’s runway.
CANCUN: Mexico’s most famous and most popular vacation destination is sure to quench the stench of quarantine for all! From White Sands and Blue Oceans to Exhilarating Thrills of exploring caves and soaring high on zip lines there is something for all ages to enjoy. Affordability is also a plus as you can splurge on 5 star accommodations or be as frugal as you want at budget conscience accommodations. All inclusive or All Exclusive which ever is your preference there is something to fit your desires. The Culinary Scene is all encompassing from the best Mexican Cuisines to the many flavors of the world are all accessible in close proximity. If you’d like to shop til you drop and not just for souvenirs there are plenty of retail therapy locations . Once the sun sets and the night falls the Night life is going to call! Isla Mujeres: Most famous for snorkeling and scuba diving and home to the largest under water museum is sure to provide a better views and a more tranquil style of social distancing! White Sands and Blue Oceans are there to great you upon arrival along with friendly locals looking to make you feel welcomed to their small island. Swim with Whale sharks and Dolphins or go out on a fishing trip if you like its all up to you while exploring this beautiful island. You can also rent a golf cart or a bicycle to tour the island for the day. Apartment and home rentals are available as well as budget friendly and 5 star hotel accommodations on the island. Don’t worry about food options even though its a small island the food choices are plentiful! Accessible by numerous flights available from your Destination to Cancun Airport once at Cancun Airport you will need to take a 20 minute Ferry to Isla Mujeres.
Cozumel: A favorite location among Cruise Lines is a mostly undeveloped Island known for Diving and Snorkeling. Beautiful Hues of Blue water as far as the eye can see will be the highlight of this island. Spend your days Off-Road, enjoy a open air Jeep or dune buggy drive around the island, visit a natural blow hole, or catch hatching sea turtles, and find isolated beaches to spend a lazy day working on your tan! If your seeking ancient history visit a Mayan Ruin while your there. Also don’t forget to get some Mayan Cacao while your there as a treat! There are a wide range of hotel accommodations from 5 star to 3 star that are sure to fit your needs. Riviera Maya: Includes all cities between Tulum and Puerto Morelos including Playa Del Carmen all along a beautiful stretch of the Caribbean sea. In Tulum enjoy the Mayan Ruins, Yoga, highly acclaimed culinary experiences, and bohemian chic accommodations. A former refuge for Pablo Escobar should be a must visit for the Stylish Jet-setters looking for their next runway lyfe experience. Instead of the club life of other mexico cities you’ll bar hop your way though the nights breeze. Many activities are open from Cenotes, Mayan Therapy, and zip lines to name a few. Affordable accommodations to fit all budgets are available in the city of Tulum. Move on up to Playa Del Carmen and you’ll enjoy beautiful ocean front views and a bustling city center where shoppers can shop and party seekers can revel. They may not have the best beaches in the area but they are better than most in the USA. There is Golfing options available for those that want to take on a par or 2. Viewed by many as less authentic due to the amount of tourist that crowd the area there are many great dining options and swanky hotels to appease every travel preference. Many options for activities and excursions are available for those that want to do more than soak up the rays while on vacation and theme parks for the whole family to enjoy…. I even spotted NAS strolling 5th Ave when I was there one New Years Eve. You never know who you’ll see! All the way from Playa to Puerto Morelos there are beautiful ocean front accommodations from Adult Only resorts, to Family Friendly Properties there is something to see and do for everyone. Cabo San Lucas: Also known as The Baja Peninsula or Baja California Sur this is the place to see and be seen! Cabo attracts Celebrities, Wealthy Jet-setters, Pro Golfers, Party Goers, and Families looking for Luxury along the Pacific Coast. Many of the beaches in the area are not swim-able due to the location but no worries there are some in the area that you can enjoy when you get tired of the pool amenities at you hotel and villa. Accommodations range from Ultra Luxurious Hotels and Villas to Basic no frills options. If your into Deep Sea Fishing, Whale Watching, Swimming with Dolphins, Golfing, Diving, Surfing, Sailing, Tequila Tasting, ATVs, and Nightlife this is the place for you! No visit is complete without a trip to lands end! Come with a diverse food pallet as there are a wide array of options to satisfy any stomach! Now don’t confuse San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas because they are two totally different experiences. San Jose is more laid back and a smaller town, filled with locals and more suitable for those that are not looking to leave their resort outside of a leisure stroll. Cabo is the place for those that want the best of both wolds. Take a day trip to San Jose and that’ll be more than enough time to see and do everything on your checklist but stay in the heart of Cabo! Puerto Vallarta: Located on the BahÃa de Banderas it’s a charming resort town attracting a adoring crowd! Accommodations range from fully staffed Villas and Luxury Hotels to 3 star accommodations which makes it affordable for anyone to travel here with the proper planning. Stroll the Malecon, Taste various Tequila, visit the Botanical Gardens, Snorkel, Dive, and Whale-Watch. Catch a Fancy Dinner and enjoy a night out on the town it’s all available in this Jalisco area town. For the adventurist there is Hiking, Zip-Lining, rappelling, horse-backing and so much more.
